Privacy Policy
Last Updated: September 8, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how QR Plus - Scan & Create ("QR Plus", "we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use the QR Plus mobile application.
QR Plus is designed as an offline-first QR utility application. Its core features include scanning QR codes, creating QR codes, viewing QR history, saving QR images, and sharing QR content.
1. Information and Device Permissions
QR Plus may request certain device permissions when you use features that require them. Permissions are requested only when necessary for the relevant functionality.
Camera Permission
QR Plus requests access to your device camera when you use the QR or barcode scanning feature.
The camera is used to:
- Scan QR codes and supported barcode formats.
- Process the camera image to identify encoded content.
QR Plus does not use the camera for continuous monitoring or unrelated recording.
Photos and Images
QR Plus allows you to select an image from your device when you choose to scan a QR code from an existing image.
Access to an image is initiated by your action and is used to perform the requested QR scanning functionality.
Storage on Older Android Versions
On supported older Android versions, QR Plus may request the storage permission required to save generated QR images to the device.
On newer Android versions, QR Plus uses the Android media/storage mechanisms appropriate for those versions.
2. QR Code Information
QR Plus processes information contained in QR codes that you scan or create.
Depending on the QR code or information entered by you, this may include:
- Website URLs
- Text
- Email addresses
- Telephone numbers
- Contact information
- Wi-Fi configuration information
- Other information encoded in a QR code
3. Local Storage and History
QR Plus stores certain application data locally on your device to provide features such as scan history, creation history, and application settings.
This information is intended to remain on your device and is not intentionally uploaded to a QR Plus server for these features.
QR Plus does not require you to create an online account to use its core functionality.
4. Saving QR Images
When you choose to save a generated QR code, QR Plus saves the resulting image to the device's available image/gallery storage using the Android storage mechanisms supported by your device.
Saving an image is performed as a result of your action.
5. Sharing Information
QR Plus provides functionality for sharing QR images or QR-related text using applications available on your device.
When you choose to share content, that content is provided to the application or service you select.
Once information is transferred to another application or service, its handling of that information is governed by that service's own privacy policy.
6. Opening Links and External Actions
QR Plus may allow you to open a website, make a telephone call, compose an email or SMS, or perform another supported action when you choose the corresponding option from a scan result.
These actions are initiated by you. The destination application, website, network provider, or other external service may process information according to its own privacy policy.
7. Advertising
The current version of QR Plus does not display third-party advertising.
If advertising services are introduced in a future version, this Privacy Policy and the applicable Google Play Data Safety information will be updated to reflect the relevant data practices.
8. Analytics and Tracking
The current version of QR Plus does not intentionally use third-party analytics or behavioral tracking services to create advertising profiles or track users across applications.
If this changes in a future version, this Privacy Policy will be updated as appropriate.
9.Third-Party Software Libraries & Processing
QR Plus uses third-party software libraries and packages (such as camera handling, UI layout, and QR/barcode parsing libraries) to provide application functionality. Local Processing: All QR scanning and generation processes occur entirely locally on your device via these integrated libraries. No Cloud Transmission: Camera feeds, scanned images, and generated QR contents are not transmitted to external cloud servers or sold to third parties. External Links & Services: Third-party services or components used within the app (such as external browser redirection or in-app review tools) operate under their own privacy practices and terms of service.
These components are used to provide the functionality of the application. Third-party services or components may have their own terms and privacy practices.
QR Plus does not intentionally sell your personal information to third parties.
10. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information handled by QR Plus.
QR history and application settings are primarily stored locally on your device. However, no electronic storage system or method of transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
11. Data Retention and Deletion
QR Plus does not require an online user account.
QR-related history and application settings stored locally remain on your device until you delete the relevant information through available application functionality, clear the application's data, or uninstall QR Plus.
Information that you voluntarily share with another application, website, or external service is subject to that service's own retention and deletion practices.
12. Children's Privacy
QR Plus is designed for general audiences and operates as an offline-first utility. No Account Required: The application does not require user registration, log-ins, or account creation, meaning we do not knowingly or intentionally collect personal information from children. Data Safety: Because all scan history and app preferences remain stored locally on the user's device rather than being collected onto remote servers, the application is safe for users of all age groups. If you believe a child has provided data or if you have questions, please reach out to us via our contact information.
QR Plus does not require users to create an account and does not intentionally collect personal information from children through an account-registration system.
If you believe that a child has provided personal information directly to us, please contact us using the information below.
13. Your Choices
You control whether QR Plus can access permissions requested by the application.
- You can deny camera access.
- You can change permissions through Android Settings.
- You can delete available local QR history.
- You can clear QR Plus application data.
- You can uninstall QR Plus from your device.
Some application features may not function when the permissions required for those features are denied.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when QR Plus functionality, data practices, third-party services, or applicable requirements change.
Any update will be reflected by changing the Last Updated date shown at the top of this page.
